CANDIDATE DUTIES:
- The post holder will provide consultant delivered anaesthetic services.
- Have responsibility for providing Consultant Anaesthetic cover for elective surgery in all specialities including preoperative assessment and postoperative care.
- The post holder will be expected to take part in high risk anaesthetics assessment clinics.
- Provide with the other Consultants a system of mutual out-of-hours cover and cover for annual, study and professional leave.
- Take part in the Royal College of Anaesthetists continuing medical education programme.
- Teaching, supervision and development of Junior medical and non medical staff.
- Contribute to audits and ongoing research activity.

REQUIREMENTS:
- MBBS / MBChB / MD or equivalent.
- Speciality training completed
- Minimum 7 years full time post graduate experience.
- Minimum 2 years of continuous experience in Anaesthetics.
- Consultant level experience
- GMC registration (or eligible to secure GMC registration).
- Efficiency in teamwork and superior communication skills.
