HOSPITAL INFORMATION:
- The Hospital is located in Barking, east London.
- It is a Trust that has two hospitals and other centers.
- Both hospitals focus their practice on internal medicine, more specifically acute services.
CANDIDATE DUTIES:
- The postholder will be encouraged to participate in clinical research and be actively involved in clinical trials.
- The postholder will be expected to attend clinical meetings and to take part in continual medical activities in line with RCP guidelines.
- The postholder will work with colleagues to provide a comprehensive and co-ordinated Dermatology service across the Trust and will join with fellow consultants in running the service.
- The postholder will support the delivery of the National Health Service Plan, which includes Choose and Book for Indirect and Direct Booking of Outpatients.
- The postholder will be expected to support the development of GPs and other professional groups in facilitating patient focussed service developments. This will include working alongside, and supporting, GPs with a Special Interest in Dermatology.

- Salary between £76,001 – £102,465 + £2,162 annual for London zone.

REQUIREMENTS:
- MBBS / MBChB / MD or equivalent.
- GMC registration (or eligible to secure GMC registration).
- Efficiency in teamwork and equally good communication skills.
- CCT and CESR or European Community Rights.
- As prescribed by the appropriate Royal College (An appropriate higher ‘insert text’ qualification).
- Behave in line with Trust principles, policies and protocols.
- Develop and coach an effective team to perform to the best of their ability.
- Demonstrate ability to anticipate problems, analyze issues, suggest alternative solutions and make decisions.
- Anticipate issues and develop contingency plans.
