CANDIDATE DUTIES:

• Provision of a first class clinical and laboratory service for patients with disorders of haematology, haemostasis and thrombosis.
• Provide clinical interpretation of laboratory test of haematology and coagulation and provide advice to clinical colleagues.
• Lead on clinical hospital transfusion services.
• Provide advice and support for laboratory and clinical blood transfusion.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team and clinical governance meetings.
• Teaching, supervision and development of Junior medical and non-medical staff.
• Contribute to audits and ongoing research activity.

REQUIREMENTS:

• MBBS / MBChB / MD or equivalent.
• Speciality training completed.
• Minimum 7 years full time post graduate experience.
• Minimum 2 years of continuous Haematology experience.
• Consultant level experience.
• GMC registration.

• Leadership and Management Skills.
