Job offer for Emergency doctors in NHS London

NHS in London is looking for an Emergency doctor. The hospital will arrange Skype or face to face interviews. 

HOSPITAL INFORMATION:

• The Hospital is located in East London, in Barking.
• It is a Trust that has two hospitals and other care centers.
• Both hospitals focus their practice on internal medicine and are specialized in acute cases.

CANDIDATE DUTIES:

• Ensuring the effective organization of the reception, resuscitation, diagnosis and emergency treatment of all patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• The appropriate discharge of patients to a specialist unit within the hospital and other hospitals in the area, General Practitioner of back to the community. 
• The direct clinical supervision and training of the Emergency department Junior Medical Staff and Emergency Nurse Practitioners working in the Emergency Departments as well as the organization and delegation of clinical work.
• Professional supervision under Consultant guidance aiming to encourage the development of all doctors within Emergency Medicine.
• Participation in development of emergency treatment protocols.
• Active participation at various committees and working groups.
• The monitoring of the quality of service given by the Emergency Department which includes clinical audit.
• The post holder will contribute to the periodic reviews and verifications of these plans.
• The readiness of the department to implement at any time the Major Incident Plan.
• Demonstrating an involvement in Clinical Governance. Risk Management and Clinical Audit.
• Contributing to the provision of reports for the Coroner, Police Statements and for Complaints management adhering to time frames.Complying with data protection.
• Ensuring own practice is up to date. This will include taking responsibility for own clinical professional development and participation in the Trust wide appraisal system.
• Complying with all relevant Trust Policies and Procedures.

IT OFFERS:

• Permanent contract.
• Salary between £ 35,000 – £ 65,000  + £2,162 annual for London zone.
• Full time

REQUIREMENTS:

• MBBS / MBChB / MD or equivalent.
• GMC registration.
• Efficiency in teamwork and equally good communication skills.
• 3 years post full registration with wide experience in all aspects of Emergency Medicine OR ACCS specialties (Anaesthesia, EM, Intensive Care Medicine or Acute Medicine), of which at least 12 months must be in Emergency Medicine.
• Recognized completion of SHO training (or equivalent)
• Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Understands principles of audit and Clinical Governance
• Able to communicate & liaise effectively with patients, relatives and with colleagues in all disciplines.
• Effective role model, with values of safety, respect, kindness and excellence
