CANDIDATE DUTIES:
- To provide a first class clinical service to all patients, especially primary diagnosis and initiating emergency treatment.
- Provide clinical leadership within the department, as well as specialist emergency medicine expertise.
- Should monitor the workload and stresses within the department moving staff accordingly and ensuring that breaks are taken. Work closely with the senior nurse to provide clinical leadership for the department.
- Provide sufficient information to colleagues during handover to ensure consistency of care.
- To work towards and comply with National emergency medicine targets.
- Teaching, supervision and development of Junior Medical and non-Medical staff.
- Contribute to Audits and ongoing Research.

REQUIREMENTS:
- MBBS / MBChB / MD or equivalent.
- Speciality training completed.
- Minimum 7 years full time post graduate experience.
- Minimum 2 years of continuous experience in Emergency Medicine.
- Consultant level experience.
- GMC registration.
- Efficiency in teamwork and superior communication skills.
- Leadership and Management Skills.
