CANDIDATE DUTIES:
- Ward based Gastroenterology inpatient care.
- Gastroenterology outpatient clinic service.
- Contribute to a 1:8 on call gastroenterology and GI bleed rota.
- Active participation in clinical governance.
- Educational and clinical supervision of junior staff.
- Active participation in teaching and training of juniors.
IT OFFERS:
- Permanent contract.
- Salary between £ 35,000 – £ 65,000 + £2,162 annual for London zone.
- Full time position.
REQUIREMENTS:
- MBBS or equivalent.
- Full GMC registration.
- Specialist Registration for General Medicine and Gastroenterology.
- Ability to offer opinion and expert care for patients with gastrointestinal disease.
- Independent endoscopy skills.
- Ability to perform emergency endoscopy for GI bleeding.
- Commitment to working in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Commitment to effective departmental management.
- Leadership skills, organizational skills.
- Experience supervising junior staff.
- Evidence of effective audit.
