- Ability to take responsibility for the clinical care of patients.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to teach clinical skills to medical students and postgraduates.
- Understanding of the methodology and the ability to interpret research results.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, doctors, nurses and other agencies and staff.
